🚨⚽ Nigeria Files Official Complaint Against DR Congo Over Alleged Dual Nationality Players — NFF Confident FIFA Will Act 🔥
In a bold move, Nigeria has officially lodged a complaint with FIFA concerning their World Cup qualifying match against DR Congo. The announcement was made by Mohammed Sanusi, Secretary General of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Sanusi expressed confidence that FIFA would uphold the complaint, citing concerns over several DR Congo players reportedly holding dual nationality, which is prohibited under FIFA rules.
“I am very confident that our complaint will be upheld by FIFA. Several DR Congo players reportedly have dual nationality, which is not permitted under FIFA rules and regulations. One example is Wan-Bissaka, but he is not the only case. There are several others, and we want FIFA to thoroughly investigate the matter and provide us with a favorable decision,” Sanusi said.
The NFF is now waiting on FIFA to review the case carefully, which could have major implications for the ongoing World Cup qualification process.
