Senate President Godswill Akpabio has strongly responded to the harassment allegations made against him by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and former NDDC Acting MD Joy Nunieh. In a heated video shared by Viable TV, Akpabio dismissed the claims, stating that since they had “decided to go into the gutter,” he was prepared to join them there.

Akpabio took particular aim at Nunieh, claiming that she had used fake NYSC certificates and lied under oath, which led to her dismissal during his tenure as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. He revealed that after receiving a letter from the late Abba Kyari, then Chief of Staff, questioning Nunieh’s credentials, he acted swiftly to confirm the fraud and remove her before it turned into a larger scandal.

Adding fuel to the fire, Akpabio stated that women should be aware that their actions directly influence their progress in life, remarking, “Your attitude will determine your altitude.”
