Natasha Osawaru, the Deputy Majority Leader of the Edo State House of Assembly, has responded to the swirling rumors surrounding the beads that her fiancé, music star 2Baba, wears on his neck and wrist. Speculation had arisen after 2Baba’s mother, Rose Idibia, accused Osawaru of using the beads to spiritually control her son.

In an exclusive interview with journalist Stella Korkus, Osawaru addressed the allegations, insisting that the beads are purely traditional gifts with no mystical significance. She explained that the beads, known as "EZENEKA," were given to her by her mother on her birthday, symbolizing "a river that never runs dry." The pearl bead on 2Baba’s neck, she revealed, was a gift from her late grandfather, a knight to the Queen of England.

"The beads are just traditional; there is nothing diabolical or juju-related about them," Osawaru emphasized. "He liked them, and that’s why he wears them. If you observe, 2Baba has always had a fondness for beads."

Osawaru, who has largely stayed away from the drama online, also addressed the ongoing social media buzz. She said she doesn’t pay attention to online allegations, preferring to focus on her career and personal happiness. "I don’t care about the lies posted about me," she said. "I’m happy and focused on my work."

Despite the controversy surrounding their relationship, which became public after 2Baba’s surprise proposal just days after ending his marriage with Annie, Osawaru remains unfazed. She’s confident in their love and the truth behind the beads.

What do you think? Is the bead controversy a case of simple tradition, or is there more to the story? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
