Afrobeat star Seun Kuti has spoken out against Nigerian celebrities and feminists for their silence on the serious sexual harassment allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. Akpoti-Uduaghan recently claimed that Senate President Godswill Akpabio denied her motion on the Ajaokuta Steel Complex after she rejected his sexual advances.

During an Instagram live session, Kuti voiced his strong support for Akpoti-Uduaghan, criticizing the lack of solidarity from public figures who had previously rallied behind Annie Idibia during her marital issues with 2Face. He said, "It’s appalling that all these so-called women activists are silent on such an important issue. What Natasha is saying is serious, yet these celebrities won't speak out."

Kuti also pointed out that many celebrities, particularly in Nollywood, may be reluctant to back Akpoti-Uduaghan due to their ties to the government. “Many of them are benefiting from fraudulent grants, so they won’t dare speak out," Kuti added.

While Kuti admitted he couldn't publicly protest for Natasha, he urged Nigerian women to rise up and support her cause.
