Nigerian football icon Yakubu Aiyegbeni has sparked a massive debate among the Super Eagles faithful after urging his compatriot Victor Osimhen to finally make the move to the English Premier League.
Speaking in a recent interview with Sportcast, the former Everton and Portsmouth goal-machine argued that while Osimhen is currently dominating the Turkish Super Lig with Galatasaray, true legendary status is forged in the fires of England.

Yakubu, who spent nearly a decade terrorizing defenses in England, believes that at 26, Osimhen is "wasting his prime" if he stays in Turkey until his 30s.
“He’s been scoring goals and he should come to the Premier League to test himself as well,” Yakubu stated. “Everyone would love to see him there. He can fit into any team—any of the big teams.”
