According to security sources, Ebo Noah claimed God revealed a divine plan to destroy the world through floods, echoing the biblical story of Noah. He reportedly instructed followers to prepare for the catastrophe by boarding multiple arks — allegedly more than eight — to save believers from the impending disaster.
The prophecy caused widespread panic, with followers reportedly making arrangements to travel and seek shelter in the arks, while the messages spread rapidly through social media and public sermons. Authorities allege that the claim posed a threat to public order and safety and are investigating whether the prophet deliberately spread false information capable of inciting mass panic.
Local religious bodies and leaders have called for calm, emphasizing that fear-driven prophecies must be treated with caution. A spokesperson for a Christian council stated:
“Prophecies that cause fear and disrupt social stability must be treated with caution.”
