Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has broken his silence with a shocking public outcry, accusing some family members and close associates of waging a dangerous campaign to destroy his reputation, sabotage his relationships, and paint him as mentally unstable.
In a raw and emotional statement, the singer firmly dismissed rumours about his mental health, insisting he is fully in control of his life and decisions.
“I’m okay. I’m perfectly normal. Please stop painting me as mentally unstable,” 2Baba said.
The legendary artist went further, alleging that the same interference that contributed to the collapse of his marriage to Annie Idibia is now being redirected at his current partner, Natasha, whom he claims is receiving death threats.
“My family destroyed my marriage with Annie. Now they are after Natasha. This has gotten dangerously out of hand,” he revealed.
Visibly frustrated, 2Baba slammed those who claim to be acting in his best interest, accusing them of endangering his life and happiness.
“You say you’re trying to save me, but you’re killing me. I’m a grown man. I have the right to be with who I want,” he declared.
To counter claims of instability, the singer pointed to his continued public appearances, including a recent performance in Abuja, as proof that he remains mentally and physically sound.
Calling the situation devastating and unbearable, 2Baba pleaded for privacy and an end to harassment, warning that silence is no longer an option.
“I’m not going to be quiet anymore. In the next few days, I will speak a whole lot of truth,” he vowed.
As fans react with shock and concern, one thing is clear: this is no longer a private family issue — it’s a public alarm from one of Nigeria’s most respected music legends.
