Tensions reached a boiling point today at the Nigerian National Assembly as Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe took a bold stand, demanding the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Arriving at the Assembly with a placard in hand, Abaribe blocked key access roads and declared, “Enough is enough.” The senator, who had previously stood as surety for Kanu’s bail, vowed that legislative activities would come to a halt until his demand for Kanu’s release was met.

“As a surety, I will continue to stand with Nnamdi Kanu until justice is served,” Abaribe stated, denouncing the prolonged detention as unlawful. “If President Tinubu insists on lawlessness, then let it be total lawlessness."

The dramatic protest has sparked heated debates across the country, with many questioning the state of the law and justice in Nigeria.

What do you think about Senator Abaribe’s drastic move? Should Nnamdi Kanu be released? Share your thoughts in the comments!
