Nicki Minaj Turns Down Iyanya N50million Collaboration Offer

Iyanya Mbuk is allegedly trying to secure a duet with American rapper, Nicki Minaj.Reports say talks have reached an advanced stage between both camps.A top industry source, who spoke to NET, confirmed the kukere crooner is willing to pay as much as $300,000 approximately N50m to jump on a track with him.


“It’s an on-going project. He has to now go back to Los Angeles again to try and get her on the track”, the source hinted.


Reacting to the report however, Iyanya’s manager, Ubi Franklin said “Who said that, where did you hear that? If anything like that would happen, you’ll hear from our publicist. I’ll be so glad if it happens, I’m very open to the idea of doing a song with her”

Minaj, who has won 4 American Music Awards, 8 BET Awards, two MTV Music Awards, 5 Billboard Music Awards among others, has never collaborated with a Nigerian act.It is not the first time a Nigerian music act would be paying for collaborations with foreign acts, with the likes of D’Banj and P-Square among those who have paid huge sums for collaborative efforts with US star.

till date no song have arised from iyanya and nicky minaj showing that she never accepted iyanya’s offer of 50 million.

Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk (born 31 October 1986), better known by his stage name Iyanya, is a Nigerian recording artist and performer. He rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa, and is best known for his hit single “Kukere”.

He co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011. He released his debut studio album, My Story, in 2011. It was supported by the singles “No Time” and “Love Truly”. Desire, his second studio album, contained the singles “Kukere”, “Ur Waist”, “Flavour”, “Sexy Mama”, and “Jombolo”.

He won the Artist of the Year award at The Headies 2013. In October 2016, Iyanya announced via Instagram that he signed a record deal with Mavin Records after signing a management deal with Temple Management Company months before. He first announced his intentions to leave Made Man Music Group in July 2016.
