🎭 "I Voted for Tinubu Because Your Bullying Annoyed Me!" – Bimbo Akintola Fires Back at Trolls!
Star actress Bimbo Akintola has dropped a bombshell on why she backed President Bola Tinubu, daring her critics to "kill me" as she blasts the toxic culture of political bullying in Nigeria.
Nollywood powerhouse Bimbo Akintola is not backing down. In a candid and fiery interview on the latest episode of With Chude, the veteran actress opened up about the heavy backlash she endured during the 2023 general elections and why the "bully tactics" of Nigerians actually strengthened her resolve.
😤 "Don't Bully Me": The Trigger for Her Choice
Akintola revealed that her decision to go public with her support for President Bola Tinubu was partially a reaction to the "hostile" atmosphere online.
“Nigerians annoy me. Don’t bully other people,” Bimbo stated firmly. “You don’t like this man? That’s your right. But bullying people because of their choice is wrong.”
🥊 "Kill Me If You Can"
Rather than cowering under the pressure of social media trolls, Bimbo decided to meet the fire with fire. She recalled making a defiant video at the height of the election fever, essentially daring her detractors to do their worst.
“I did this video saying: 'Okay, I’m going for the same person. Kill me. Feel free. Kill me. Let me see you change my mind with your bullying.'”
The actress emphasized that while everyone has the right to support different candidates, the lack of tolerance in Nigeria's political space is becoming a crisis. She urged citizens to understand that disagreement is normal and shouldn't lead to personal attacks.
⚖️ A Fight for Personal Freedom
For Bimbo, it wasn't just about a candidate; it was about the right to choose. She argued that if Nigerians want true democracy, they must respect the individual's right to differ in opinion without the fear of being "cancelled" or harassed.
