The terror escalated when, according to Njeri, the brother forcibly took her daughter and vanished, leaving the family traumatized and searching for answers for over a decade.

Njeri explained that the family’s ordeal began after she moved back home. She recounted recurring, ominous dreams featuring her brother surrounded by snakes. When their mother confronted him, he allegedly admitted to acquiring "protective" objects in Mombasa meant to boost his fortunes.

When he refused to return the items, tragedy struck swiftly. Njeri’s mother fell ill with a mysterious ailment that defied medical diagnosis and soon died. Following her death, the brother immediately signaled sudden wealth by purchasing a new car and a large lorry.
